Looking for a super quick Crochet Baby Blanket?

Hello!

Have you ever struggled to find the perfect crochet pattern for a gift? You're time pressed, and just can't face using DK yarn when the baby was due 3 days ago and you're seeing the mum in the next fortnight or so?

My house is full of half finished projects, where inspiration has struck and then I just get tired of how long its taking me to make. Well, Robin from Hooked By Robin has come up with the perfect pattern for those quick baby makes. Its a simple pattern worked in rows that gives oodles of texture and looks far more complex than it really is. Perfect for those last-minute baby gifts.

Robin is amazing enough to not only offer the pattern for free on her blog, but she's also done a YouTube tutorial for both the body of the blanket, and the edging. The Bubble Puff Blanket uses chunky yarn, which means its quick to whip up, and isn't too yarn hungry. It also only uses 2 colours, so don't have to spend a fortune on lots of different colours.

For her blanket she has used Hayfield Spirit Chunky in Sundown, and Cygnet Chunky in Cream - but you could use any chunky scraps you have laying around, or pick another of the 8 stunning shades of Hayfield Spirit Chunky that are available. If you're feeling more patient than I often do, then you can easily translate the pattern for use with DK yarn too. Happy Making!

This looks a beautiful blanket and hope it is suitable for beginners in crochet. The Hayfield Spirit in Ember is so lovely. Will be saving this on my favourites list for the near future. Thank You.
